5. Be specific about what help you need. Guide your loved ones by being as specific as possible about what kinds of help you need. Otherwise, they will try to help according to their ideas of what you need, which may or may not bear any resemblance to your reality. Be ready with some specific ideas when someone asks, âWhat can I do to help?â Be ready to give those willing to help the opportunity to be of service to you.
6. Express gratitude for the help you receive. Just because you are dying doesnât mean you get to forget your manners. Saying âthank youâ motivates others to do more. Give them an âAâ for effort, even if they donât do it exactly as you would have done for yourself. You can always give them gentle, remedial guidance and hope they hit the target better next time.
